I really have no words for how sad this made me.

  2. The situation on the border and the DACA recipients whose status in peril are both omnipresent here in Texas ... my new year resolution is to volunteer in the office of my local state representative, a whip-smart young woman named Erin Zwiener ... she gives me hope that my efforts might be amplified ...

  4. I haven’t listened to the podcast but your composition brings me joy. Is that weird? It is so pleasing to me. Moving. Maybe partly because it holds sorrow. I don’t know.

    1. I meant it to be joyful as well as sad. Refugees bring
all they know to their new land. All their teachers and the teachers' teachers. This is my feeling for the statue...he speaks what he's lived and learned, honoring all of his teachers. How can we learn if we live in fear, not curious. If you have a chance that podcast is worth the time.
