Japanese silk listening

All of these fabrics are from Kimono scraps except the top middle center rectangle.I couldn't find the shade in those silks. The top's basted into a sandwich of harem cloth on the back and a piece of the finest antique silk in the middle. When I opened a sleeve seam I found this hidden treasure and listened to it with an open mind. I think this shy fabric wanted to be hidden again so it's inside and happy again.

  2. Thanks Jan, it was so very thin-had almost no weight...but had a voice-a history.

  3. I have my bag of silks but haven't yet dared to try to do anything with it. How big is this square?

  5. Hi, it's about 21" square. I used small scraps as
I'm still bad about not wanting to cut into bigger
pieces. But I like how the pieced rays looked after piecing. Thanks!
