Three days making

July 4th is when the first tomatoes ripen here. Tomato soup with the real ugly ones.
 fabric collages to hand stitch.
a hat from kimono fabric.
potato salad from the garden harvest.

bases for chandelier...an experiment using plaster studio workshop techniques...
substrates for painting
And many hours with my best pal. Who could ask for more from a long weekend?

  1. I'm envious of your tomatoes. Ours stop producing by mid-June. Sounds like the perfect weekend!

  3. It has been so cold and damp here in NW Oregon that everything growing outside is at least a month behind normal growing conditions. Even the locust trees are only now blooming, normally they would be blooming around Memorial Day. Roses are only now coming into flower. It has been a real battle to get a garden in, what with the critters and cold weather. But we battle on and will eventually reap some bountiful tomatoes too. Last year they didn't ripen until October. So I too envy you your harvest already. We have been able to dig a few potatoes, they are so delicious like they already have butter on them!

I bought that plaster book too but have not found time to work from it. What you are doing will helpfully inspire me to find time, I like what I see.

I agree, if people would stay home more they would be amazed at how much less money they would spend. I have enjoyed catching up on your blog, you do interesting things all the time. Cute dog too.
