Before I bought this tool I asked lots of people if it works and no one I asked had tried it. I just used it to sharpen a dull blade and it works very well! So happy to extend the life of those expensive rotary blades.
I have one of those and I have used it many times. They work great! Way cheaper than buying new blades and takes the frustration out of nicking them since I know I can sharpen it again.
Yes, I'm out to spread the word now that I know they work so well. I've been cutting lots of batting and that seems to dull them quicker...also paper backed fabric with adhesive.
Hey, I didn't know that but it makes perfect sense. I like that I don't have to keep buying those blades. Also, I found a flint dust filled "berry" to sharpen my sewing needles.

ReplyDeleteif the batting is synthetic, it will really kill a blade. i use an old knife sharpener that has been in the family for years.
