The past month my Parkinson's symptoms tried to take over
my daily life. Cold and arthritis contributed to extra slowness
and joint pain. Even so, my Yoga practice allowed me to
work thru the pain. After I rise from the mat I can walk strong.
I have a wonderful teacher with extensive knowledge.
I've loved this picture of Durga for years. All month
this has been on my sewing table. I used Jude's cloth weaving technique.
It's become a favorite design component.
(((Patty))) a friend with Parkinson's disease has found knitting is very calming for her shaking hands
ReplyDeleteHi Mo, I gave up knitting but other sewing is fine. Had to give away my loom last year. On the other hand, I swim at the Y which makes up for a lot. Life takes with
Deleteone hand and gives with the other, it seems. Or I like to think so.
Patty....again, such Beauty. Your Cloths are like
ReplyDeleteThankas. you are so gifted. Am so glad you were able

Sad to hear the flare up but so good to hear that the

those words and breathe...Granddaughter is working on

live with heavy physical challenge.

Deletein my condition. No such thing as life without pain.
Good thing it's balanced with the joy of making!
Thank you, Jude.
I love the long stretch of the cloth. And the soft palette. My sister in law has Parkinson’s and is able to take part in a boxing club designed for people with the diagnosis. It helps a lot, as does the community.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dee! I love the linen I dye as a back ground. The colors surprise and inspire me. It's wonderful how exercise
ReplyDeletefunctions as a medicine with Pk. I've never been a fitness
enthusiast but recently would rather do it than not. Old dog-
new tricks sort of thing...ha!
Your cloths are lovely Patty. I am sorry you have not been well, but I am relieved to read you get relief through your yoga practice. Wishing you lots of good days. xoxo
