Dancing Fox by Koson

Dancing Fox makes me smile. He dances under a large leaf
with no serious intentions. Rhythm is implied by a right paw about
to stomp in his folk dance. I love foxes. They remind me not to give in to sad times..
They remind me that mischief and fun may hide for a long time but is
likely to jump out at any time.

  1. The dancing fox is so delicately colored and your patchwork color choices both echo and contrast beautifully. This is delightful.

    1. With all the sadness and madness happening I need a
reminder that things will change. Thank you for your
      kind words.

  3. the foxes here in Texas are gray ... but like their east coast kin, they are such grace-full creatures ... and play-full, as your cloth is

    1. Our foxes are dark red brown. But then you know that!
I love them and their tease and outwit. Deflates our own puffed up sense of importance. And always play.

  4. I'm reminded of those videos of foxes leaping up and then diving nose first into the snow in search of food. Such joyful acrobats!
Yours is charming in color choices and delightful in movement!

    1. Koson dedicated his painting/woodblock to the natural
world. He painted animals and birds with hints into
their nature. I'm not surprised at your memory of leaping foxes! It was an honor to frame this in my own
      colors of love.
