Painting again

For years I've collected dog photos and drawn them in graphite. Now, after about 30 years, I'm
trying to relearn oils and painting dozens of dogs. There's something so out there, soulful and
honest in those eyes. I hope these beginnings improve with more practice!

    If this is practice...it's amazing. Truly love your dog painting. You are so right...there is something so soulful in a dog's eyes...an understanding that even we don't understand. Awesome work!

      Thank you, Lisa! Oils are one medium I've not had too much experience with. I stop by your blog regularly and your work is
      one big reason I decided to jump in and learn. And I agree, dogs
      understand stuff not many people can.
